Our Mission
"Called by God's love to live the life of Jesus in our world."
Deacon Frank's Christmas Greeting
A Blessed Christmas to you all!
The Lord is with us always and comes to us always in the ways He chooses. Mary responded to God’s request at the Annunciation “May it be done to me according to your word”. Our Blessed Mother always responded to God the same way in every moment of her life.
Jesus is present with us always and also comes to us in all the situations of our lives. He comes to us in the ways only He chooses to come, just as He did when He took flesh in the womb of the Blessed Virgin to be born a babe in a stable with the animals and laid in a manager. The Incarnation of Christ, in which He assumes our human nature, and His Nativity, reveal to us the infinite love of God in every circumstance of our lives. In doing so, God demonstrates His love for each of us in a tender, humble and vulnerable way. Our relationships with God and one another only deepen when we open those vulnerable areas of our hearts to receive and share God’s infinite love, given to us in the infant Jesus.
This Christmas, Jesus comes to us, and He asks us to share His love and life with those around us. My prayer for you all this Christmas is that you experience God’s infinite love and open your heart to Him as did our Blessed Mother Mary. May Christ’s love be visible in your life, so that others may come to know His love for them through you.
May God bless you and yours, and may you have a Blessed Christmas!
Deacon Frank
Bishop's Christmas Greeting
December 3, 2025
Indeed our challenges in so many areas of life continue. People of good will long for unity where there is division, hope where there is despair and peace where there is discord. How much we all need the joy of Christmas!
As we celebrate the birth of Our Savior, Jesus Christ. I wish you the peace and happiness of Christmas and I pray that the Child born in Bethlehem will bless you and your loved ones throughout the New Year and always!
You and all dear to you will be remembered in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass during the Christmas season.
With sincere gratitude for your prayers, I remain
Devotedly yours in Christ.
The Most Reverend Salvatore R. Matano
Bishop of Rochester

“Sock and Mitten” Sundays

Quickly approaching is our annual “Sock and Mitten” Sundays, the first one being the weekend of January 3 and 4. There is a large box in the Narthex ready for your donations.
This year there is a strong need for men’s socks (warm and new, if possible) over any other item.
We, of course, are looking for the warm hats and mittens for men, women, and children, as well. If you are able to provide new, that is wonderful, yet any clean, next-to-new item is very much appreciated!
Any questions, please call Sandy DiNitto at 585-319-5405. Thank you!!

THE JUBILEE PRAYER
Father in heaven, may the faith you have given us in your son, Jesus Christ, rekindled in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, reawaken in us the blessed hope for the coming of your Kingdom. May your grace transform us into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel. May those seeds transform from within both humanity and the whole cosmos in the sure expectation of a new heaven and a new earth, when, with the powers of evil vanquished, your glory will shine eternally.
